The Sandhills Guardian Foundation is a 501(c)(3) (pending) non-profit organization based out of Moore County, N.C. that works with local child advocacy and child welfare programs to enhance the lives of abused and neglected children in the Sandhills Region of North Carolina.  â€‹

               Why Sandhills Guardian Foundation?

  • In Moore County alone at any given time there can be over 100 foster children who have been removed from their homes and placed into custody of the Department of Social Services

  • Often times foster children leave their homes with no- notice and almost no personal items

  •  In the United States foster children have an average of THIRTEEN placements before their case is resolved (reunited with family or permanent placement)

  •  When in custody of the Department of Social Services, children's basic needs for food, shelter and medical care are provided, but foster families are expected to provide any "extra" items such as clothing, toys, books, school supplies, athletic clothing/equipment and rides to extra curricular activities

  • Sandhills Guardian Foundation works to fill gaps not provided by government assistance programs in order to enhance the lives of our community's most vulnerable children.
